Strawflowers are native to Australia but have become popular for cut flowers around the world. They also happen to be attractive to a number of beneficial insects, including hoverflies, bees, and beetles, so they're both a beautiful and useful addition to the garden. We think these double-flowered white flowers are absolutely beautiful, and we're grateful to our seed source, Wild Dreams Farm's Jennifer Williams, for introducing us to them.
Here's what Jen says about them: "Beautiful creamy white double petals, this variety goes well with other strawflowers for drying or for bouquets. Tall plants grow to 5’ or more. Harvest often for continuous blooms. Direct sow or start indoors to transplant. Seeds need light to germinate so cover lightly or not at all. Final spacing 12”. 75 days to maturity."
