'Silvery Fir Tree' is a unique and special tomato. It's an early-maturing and determinate plant famous for it's silver-tinged, fern-like foliage — reminiscent of a Christmas Tree! But it's not just nice to look at, producing flavorful, medium-sized red tomatoes good for fresh eating or cooking. Being both compact and determinate, this variety is considered excellent for container gardening or even indoor/hydroponic set-ups. Despite its wild foliage, it's remarkably well-behaved.
We got these seeds from our friends Dylan Bruce and Cody Egan of Driftless Seed Supply in Wisconsin.
GROWING TIPS: Grow as you would any other tomato from seed, starting early, indoors, then planting out after soil warms in spring.
