Most bushes should have a mature height of 8-10’, but some will be taller, and some may be shorter. Orders will contain seedlings from at least two different mother plants, with a mixture of different nut sizes. Our seed parent plants have in-shell nuts and kernels large enough for commercial cracking and processing, so many of their seedlings will too, but some will be too small to enjoy hand cracking (for most people). Our most important selection criteria for our seed parents plants are healthy plants with apparently large crops of adequately-sized (for already existing commercial cracking and processing machinery) nuts. Most seed parents have kernels that weigh 0.5-0.65 grams when dried hard; A few will be larger.

Plant type: Actively-growing 4 month old greenhouse-grown containerized plant, grown in a Proptek 28 air-prune propagation container. See photo below and the Proptek website for a description. The root ball of these plants is 3 inches wide and 8 inches long, for a volume of about 1/3 gallon.
