Pink Berkeley Tie Dye is a fantastic tomato from legendary tomato breeder Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms in California's Napa Valley. Brad came up with the 'Tie Dye' part of the name (originally applied to another variety) after a customer at an Oakland farmers market held the tomato up to his tie-dye shirt to laugh about the similarity. Brad has developed a number of great tomatoes, but he considers this one his magnum opus. If you want a fantastic, delicious, beautiful tomato, this is the one for you.
Our seed was grown by Kass McKinnon and Clint Freund of Cultivating the Commons in Wisconsin.
GROWING TIPS: Start seeds indoors in March or early April, transplant outside after danger of last frost. Space plants 16-24 inches apart. They will benefit from a trellis or tomato cage. Full sun preferred.
