The biggest, most productive tomato plant we've ever seen was a sprawling Ivory Pear plant growing in Keansburg, NJ in a garden planted by Occupy Sandy New Jersey. The white skin which gets tinted yellow eventually gives the fruits an almost ghost-like appearance. They rarely crack, and they seem to ripen well even when picked green. These are more substantial than the more common red or yellow pear tomatoes, also rounder and less uniformly pear-shaped. Relatively low-acid, they have a wonderful flavor. It's great having them in the field for snacking. They are simply delicious.

These seeds were grown by Dusty Hinz and Zach Binsfeld in Minnesota.

GROWING TIPS: Start seeds indoors in March or early April, transplant outside after danger of last frost. Space plants 2 to 3 feet apart. They will benefit from a trellis or tomato cage. Full sun preferred.
