This is a super fun, green-when-ripe tomato with pink striping that helps cue when to pick, making it easier than many other green-when-ripe varieties. It has nice big fruit that average around 3/4 of a pound. Classic heirloom look with some mild fasciation (ribbing). It has relatively soft flesh, but tastes great and has a great texture even when picked on the early side. Highly vigorous indeterminate plants with beautiful dark green foliage benefit greatly from trellising, but resist foliar disease and blossom end rot impressively (although it is sensitive to anthracnose). This strain comes from a cross of 'Green Zebra' and 'Marvel Stripe' made by Jeff Dawson of Sebastopol, California, named after COPIA, the American Center of Food, Wine, and the Arts, in Napa, California. While it typically produces two phenotypes — one green with pink stripes, and one pink/red with orange stripes — Circadian Organics saved seeds only from the green phenotype (their favorite, and the larger-fruited of the two). So you should get mostly green fruit, but you might find some red ones in the mix! Produced in Southwest Wisconsin by our friends Dylan Bruce and Skye Harnsberger.
