Also known as 'Pomegranate' or 'Bright Rose', this is a deep-red and white strawflower perfect for fresh or dry arrangements. Like other strawflowers, the gorgeous flowers unfurl to reveal a yellow heart. This Aster family species — formerly placed in the genus Helichrysum, but moved by the taxonomists to Xerochrysum in 1990 (though most seed companies still use the old name) — is native to Australia. Plants reach over 3 feet tall.
These seeds were grown by our friend Jennifer Williams of Wild Dreams Farm on Vashon Island, Washington State.
