Flagpole', as the name indicates, is a very large straight tall scallion. It's great for any recipe calling for scallion or green onion, and is especially well suited to Asian cookery. This is a very cold hardy perennial variety that should have no problem surviving winter temperatures well below 0 degrees (Fahrenheit!) with no protection.

GROWING TIPS: Space seed in 1/4 to 1/2 inch rows 14-18" apart. Plant just below soil surface. To establish perennial beds, thin direct-seeded rows to leave best plants 6" apart. These will enlarge as they grow into clumps.
