Nash's is a green curly-leafed kale with excellent diversity. It is known for nice big leaves and vigorous production. It is sweeter and more tender than other green curly kales. Bred by farmer-breeder Nash Huber of Nash's Organic Produce in Washington State with support from Organic Seed Alliance, this variety has made a name for itself with good winter hardiness and disease resistance. Our seed was grown by Clint Freund and Kass McKinnon of Cultivating the Commons in Madison, Wisconsin.
GROWING TIPS: Direct seed 1/4-1/2 inch deep after danger of last frost, or transplant in healthy plant starts. Plants could be 12-18 inches apart in rows 18-30 inches apart.
