From our source, Joseph Lofthouse: "This is my favorite market tomato. Red saladette sized fruits (2-3 ounces). Very early and productive. Strongly determinate, meaning the fruit ripens quickly and then the plant croaks. Jagodka was the winner of the frost/cold tolerance trials that I conducted some years ago. Scored well for cold tolerance. Medium score on frost tolerance. This variety is remarkably attractive to bumblebees. An ancestor of Big Hill, it provided inspiration and genetics for The Beautifully Promiscuous and Tasty Tomato Project. Originally bred in St. Peterberg, Russia, by the Vavilov Institute of Plant Industry (VIR)."

Seed originally from Joseph Lofthouse but EFN-founder Dusty Hinz grew out this lot of 'Jagodka' at his farm in Spring Grove, MN.
