From South Carolina pepper breeder Kevin Bane: "A delicious (and diverse) cross between a jungle pepper and an island pepper. This is a Brazilian wild pepper crossed with 'Aji Sopa' from Puerto Rico. Plants produce tons of small upright peppers with a fruity taste similar to cherry, and a quick burn. These are just the F2 population, so who knows what will pop up next year!"
IMPORTANT NOTE: Kevin is an experimental pepper grower and typically grows most his peppers in the same field with little isolation distance. This allows the possibility for a small percentage of his seed (2-3%) of any given "cultivar" or "breeding population" to be crossed up. We are comfortable with this possibility. Mostly the cultivars are very stable. And also, given EFN's propensity for selling experimental grex and genetically diverse populations, we don't expect this deter most our customers.
