Black Coco' is a large, glossy, black-seeded bush bean originally from Rio Coco, which makes up most of the border between Honduras & Nicaragua. It became widely known to growers the world over after being popularized in France. Seeds are roughly twice the size of common black beans. It's great as a green bean, a shelly bean, or a dry bean. Bush plants reach two feet fall, but probably won't need support.

These seeds come from our friend Hank Keogh of Avoca Seed Farm near Corvallis, Oregon

GROWING TIPS: Direct sow once soil begins to warm in the spring (when you might plant sweetcorn). This is a bush type bean, so it needs no trellis. Space plants 8-12 inches apart.
