One of the most popular of the many plants released by the great Dr. Alan "Mushroom" Kapuler of Peace Seeds in Corvallis, Oregon, 'Sugar Magnolia' was the result of fifteen years of breeding work. The first purple-podded snap pea on the market, it is still the best. Fully-edible pods have a sweet flavor and delightful crunch (best picked and eaten before the pods really start to swell up). The leaves, flowers, and tendrils all make for good eating too. Plants produce over a long season and can reach heights of at least seven feet. Our seed comes from our friends at Adaptive Seeds in Oregon.
