From our friend Jennifer Williams at Wild Dreams Farm on Vashon Island, Washington, who says this about 'Black Prince': "Luscious velvety red flowers with deep green foliage that turns purplish in cooler weather. Long lasting blooms. Grows to only 18” and does not need staking. Grow for cut flower or wonderful contrast in the garden. Direct sow or start in a pot outdoors in early Spring to transplant. Cover lightly or not at all, as the seeds require light to germinate. Thin to 8 inches apart."
