Siberian chives, also known as blue chives, are perennial, easy-to-grow, and — as the name indicates — very cold hardy. Larger and more robust than normal chives or garlic chives, they are a great choice for folks within limited space (grow well in containers too). It loves a wet growing location. These have a mild flavor, great for using raw or cooked, and the pale pink flowers are tasty too. It can produce a very large bulb. In general, the species is quite variable. There are some named cultivars that have become popular as an ornamental. Very low maintenance. Our seeds come from Aaron Parker of Edgewood Nursery in Maine.
