A unique purple, thimble-flowered stunner, and excellent option for any pollinator garden, especially for the Midwestern gardener. Particularly well adapted to the sandy and well drained soils of the prairie, this compact, almost delicate plant won’t run out of control, like other more vigorous wildflowers. That’s not all, it's a pollinator magnet, host to a laundry list of our insect friends. Pairs well with its white flowering cousin Dalea candidum.
2'hx1'w. Medium to Dry Soil. Full-Part Sun. Purple July-Sept.
Our seed was produced by Shooting Star Native Seeds in Spring Grove, MN.
Growing Tips: Fall or Spring Sow. No stratification needed.
